South Lakes police reported an increased presence in the Lakes yesterday (October 5) which resulted in several motorists being stopped in Windermere.
The Neighbourhood Policing Team had been out in force on what was described as a 'busy day for visitors'.
One motorist had their vehicle impounded whilst another was given a court summons, before a motorcyclist was given penalty points for failing to stop.

Speaking on the South Lakes Facebook page, a spokesperson said: "Whilst parked alongside the A591 at Ings we were approached by a motorcyclist concerned about the driving of this Ford Mondeo. Vehicle followed and stop check conducted in Windermere.
"-4 Months since this last had road tax/VEL
"-Uplifted and Impounded
"Elsewhere a motorcyclist who failed to stop for Officers failed to get away fast enough to prevent the officers obtaining full details. At least six penalty points are now heading his way.
"Van stop checked in Windermere. Female driver had no insurance and has been reported for summons. A Court date at South Cumbria Magistrates will be coming in the post."
