A recent exhibition showcasing south Cumbrian children with their pets has proved to be a big fundraising success.
The event saw Lake District photographer Glynis Bland take snapshots of the kids and their animals, displaying them at the RSPCA Hall in Kendal to raise money for the charity's Westmorland branch.

The project, 200 Pets for 200 years, also coincided with the bicentenary of the RSPCA.
A total of 200 photos brought the exhibition to life, involving four Cumbrian schools - St Martin and St Mary, and St Cuthbert’s in Windermere, Staveley School, and Crosthwaite Primary.
A special gala exhibition of the photos took place on Sunday, September 29, with Glynis revealing that, as a result, her efforts have now raised in excess of £2000 for the local group.
She said: "I'm absolutely thrilled with the response and the turnout for the exhibition."
