Barrow woman failed drugs test after driving on A590 at Newby Bridge

A 20-year-old woman has lost her licence after being caught over twice a legal drug driving limit in South Cumbria.

Jodie Parkinson, of Roose Road in Barrow, was stopped by road traffic officers on the A590 at Newby Bridge on April 8 whilst driving a Vauxhall Corsa.

Millom BMW driver caught more than ten times over legal drug limit

MILLOM man has been sentenced after he admitted drug driving while more than ten times over the limit.

Liam Mathie, of Palmers Lane, was stopped by officers on the A595 at Whicham Valley while driving his BMW on May 9 this year.

Millom man caught driving Ford Transit van whilst disqualified

A MOTORIST has been handed a further ban for driving while disqualified.

Kirk Anthony Woodhouse, of Trinity House, Holborn Hill in Millom, was caught driving a Ford Transit van on Lancashire Road in the town on June 17 this year.

Jordan Trengove handed ban after failing to provide

A driver has been handed a 17-month ban after using a vehicle not covered by his licence and failing to provide a blood specimen. 

Jordan Trengove, 24, of Longway, Barrow, drove a VW Golf on Walney Promenade on April 28  otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising him to drive a car of that class.

Pensioner failed breath test after driving to Kendal Police Station

A PENSIONER drove to a police station and was arrested after failing a drink drink test.

A court heard how officers were in the vicinity of Asda in Kendal when they were alerted to a woman – Linda Lazonby, 71, - suspected of being drunk and about to get behind the wheel.

Barrow drink driver more than double legal limit

A DRINK driver has been banned from the road after she was caught more than double the legal limit for alcohol.

Tamzin Saywell was charged with the offence after she drove a Ford Focus on Ramsgate Crescent in Barrow on August 23.

Dalton driver pulled over with drug in his system

A DRIVER was pulled over and found to have a controlled drug in his system. 

Luke Comber, 28, of Mount Pleasant in Dalton, admitted driving a VW Golf on the A6 slip road at Levens with 3.5ug/L of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood, exceeding the specified limit on March 10.
