A golf day in the Lake District saw people put their swings to the test to support a local charity.
The annual event returned to Windermere Golf Club on Friday, September 13 to raise money for St Mary's Hospice, based in Ulverston.
After the 'incredible day' of fundraising, it was revealed that over £11,000 has since been donated to the organisation.
A representative of St Mary's commented: "This event would not happen if it wasn't for Jill [Santamera's] commitment, passion & energy.
"Thank you again to all involved - it was a fantastic day in the sun."
Jill, a golfer herself, has worked alongside the hospice for several years and has built up a reputation for organising similarly successful fundraising events for other charities in the region.
She does this through Community Spirit, an organisation that also provides volunteering opportunities so that other people can lend a hand for groups who really need it.
After raising £15,000 last year, the returning golf day proved that it is still a big hit, with attention already turning to what it can achieve in 2025.
There were a selection of local businesses that also got involved with the event, supporting the fundraising efforts in a variety of ways.
This included Crossbank Dental Care sponsoring 'goody' bags, as well as Farrers Tea and Coffee, Clayton Park Bakery, McClures, and the Hawkshead Relish Company making sure there were plenty of snacks and drinks to keep the players going.
Function18 also helped provide a selection of prizes for the best teams on the day, with Hargreaves Enterprises ensuring the participants could celebrate with cocktails at the end of the course.
With the golf clubs being stowed away for another year, a date has already been set for 2025, with the much loved event coming back on Friday, September 5.
If you would like to book a space to play on the day, then you can message Community Spirit via their Facebook page.
