The coastguard were called out after reports of a person stuck in the mud.
Furness Coastguard volunteers were called out to assist their colleagues at Arnside after reports of a person in danger.
The person was able to recover themselves from the mud and both rescue teams stood down.
In a recent post on their social media, Furness Coastguard said: "If in danger on the coast or one of the four navigable lakes, Windermere, Coniston, Ullswater or Derwentwater then dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
The team were contacted at 4pm on Saturday September 14.
