A COUPLE enjoyed wedding celebrations with their kids despite misty weather in the Lake District.
Lisa Macnab (Nichol), 39, who works in the NHS, tied the knot to Peter Macnab, 38, who works as a police officer.
The lovebirds, who met on a dating app, got engaged on July 4 2022 at Machir Bay, Isle of Islay, in Scotland.
"We had had a lovely family day with our two children on my favourite beach. As we were leaving Pete called me to turn around to see what our daughter Zara was doing, and he was down on one knee. Ben, our son, was on my back in the child carrier," said Lisa.
"It wasn't an immediate yes due to the shock but it was a definite yes when I could find the words."
They got married on Friday, August 30 in Hawick Town Hall Registry Office and after the ceremony, they headed out for tea.

"Then normal Friday duties resumed for our kids before heading down to the Cragwood Country Hotel as a family of four," said Lisa.
"We decided that we wanted to get married in the Lake District as it's a place we both like and went there on a few dates at the beginning of our relationship."
When they arrived at the Cragwood Country Hotel it was 'beautiful blue skies' and from the room, they could see Windermere.
"On Monday when we opened the curtains we were unable to see the lake due to the fog and the rain," said Lisa.
"When I was getting my hair and makeup done the rain was pouring down and we didn't think that we would manage to get photos outside, but being Scottish we had our wellies and umbrellas packed and agreed that we embrace the elements.
"Down at the lake after about 10 minutes of photos, my youngest Ben aged four, threw a stone into the lake causing there to be mud splatter up the front of my dress.
"We then moved to Kirkstone Pass where it was feeling more and more Scottish due to the weather, unfortunately, the views were not on our side but it made very atmospheric photographs.
"We headed out on the boat around Windermere which was lovely and we all thoroughly enjoyed."
The couple said they don't have plans for a honeymoon but are thinking of somewhere abroad.
"Although the time in the Lakes was for our wedding it did also feel like a mini-moon (with the kids)," said Lisa.
Mr and Mrs Macnab would like to thank their daughter Zara Macnab for being the 'best flower girl' and helping her mum into her dress; their son Ben Macnab for being their pageboy and looking 'handsome' in his Macnab tartan kilt; Amy Brown for the makeup; Emma Brennan for hair; All staff at the Cragwood Wood Hotel; Sophia Grace Couture for the dress; Tiree Dawson for the 'amazing' photos.
