Sedbergh Primary School has completed a renovation project, transforming its early years classrooms.
The classrooms have been redesigned to feature an open-plan layout, with walls removed to create a 'spacious, flexible environment'.
The aim is to foster a more 'dynamic and interactive learning experience', allowing children to 'move freely and engage in group activities'.
Alongside the new layout, the classrooms have been given a new look with light paintwork and new flooring, creating a 'warm and welcoming atmosphere'.
The school has also updated its essential facilities, with a complete refurbishment of the toilets and the addition of a new intimate care room.
Headteacher, Victoria Hudson, said: "These improvements have created an ideal environment for our youngest learners to thrive.
"We believe the new open-plan design will inspire creativity and collaboration, and the upgraded facilities will ensure that every child feels safe and supported."
The school expressed gratitude to the building firm MK Conversions and their subcontractors, who worked over the summer holidays to ensure the project was completed in time for the new school year.
A special thank you has also been extended to the school's Parent-Teacher-Friends Association (PTFA), whose fundraising efforts helped make the transformation possible.
It is said that their 'loyalty and commitment' has had a lasting impact, providing the school’s youngest students with a space that is 'not only practical but inspiring'.
