A PUB chain with a focus on 'community pubs' has submitted a premises licence application for a former hotel and pub in Penrith that closed last June.
Valiant Pub Company Limited has applied for a license at Castlegate's The Agricultural Hotel to Westmorland & Furness Council.
In January 2023, the previous owners of The Agricultural Hotel announced on social media that they would cease trading on June 4, on the back of 20 years of trading.
According to the license application, if granted, opening hours for the pub will be from 10am to 12.30pm Sunday to Thursday, and till 1.30am on Fridays and Saturdays.
The company, which was founded in 2021 by Gerry Carroll and Mark McGinty, also requested permission to host indoor sporting events, live music performances, and the playing of recorded music.
The firm also runs the Pennine Inn in Kirkby Stephen.
