A COUNTRY house hotel in a Lake District village was rated with a new food hygiene score.
Broadoaks Country House Hotel, at Bridge Lane, Troutbeck was handed a four-out-of-five rating.
The rating was given after an assessment on July 31 by Westmorland and Furness inspectors.
This means that the hotel's food hygiene standards are 'Good'.
The hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage was found to be 'Very good'.
The cleanliness and condition of facilities and building (including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control) to enable good food hygiene was found in a 'Generally satisfactory' standard.
And the management of food safety was rated 'Good'.
It means that of Westmorland and Furness's 668 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 552 (83%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
