AN 80s-themed silent disco with a 'giant glowing moon' will take place for the first time in Kendal Parish Church. 

Silent Discos in Incredible Places will host the 'Disco By Moonlight' in the church on Saturday, October 26. 

There are two slots on the Saturday for those wishing to have a dance in the 'stunning illuminated surroundings of the historic church': 6.30pm to 9pm or 9pm to 12am. 

The strictly 18+ event will offer three channels of music for partygoers to enjoy. 

The billing states that those in attendance can expect: "100s of like minded 80s fans singing their hearts out whilst wearing state of the art LED headphones" and "some of the UK's best 80s DJs playing your favourite decade defining hits for a feel good experience."

General admission tickets are £27.74 including £3.79 fee. The company has previously hosted events in Chelmsford Cathedral, Battersea Arts Centre and Chatsworth House.
