Westmorland Homecare has launched fortnightly community coffee mornings offering ‘warmth, connection, and community spirit’.
The free events, open to all, will be held at 98 Highgate in Kendal.
Jack Monopoli, recruiter at Westmorland Homecare’s South Lakeland branch, said: "Whether you are new to the area, a long-time resident or just looking for a friendly place to relax, this coffee morning is the perfect opportunity to connect with others.
"The coffee mornings aim to bring together local residents in a safe, inclusive space where everyone is welcome to enjoy some much-needed social interaction.
“Westmorland Homecare recognises the impact of loneliness and isolation, especially among the elderly and vulnerable members of our community.
"This coffee morning is more than just a social event; it’s a dedicated effort to create a supportive environment where people can connect and engage with others."
Wendy, who attended the inaugural coffee morning, said: "I was warmly welcomed, provided with delicious coffee and home-made cake, and was very pleased to spend time talking to such friendly people.
"It is a really lovely asset and one I shall certainly visit again."
Complimentary tea, coffee, and cakes will be on offer.
