THE replica of the UK's first seaplane Waterbird will fly over Windermere in less than a week's time.
Waterbird will fly over Windermere on Friday, 6 and Saturday 7 September from 7pm.
Spectators will also see a flying display from a more modern seaplane, the Aviat Husky. The viewing area will be at Brockhole on Windermere, with the seaplanes flying in front of the Langdale Pikes.
The displays will take place from Windermere where Waterbird was originally developed and tested back in 1911.
It is the third round of flying displays Lakes Flying Company has done.
During each sequence, Waterbird will take off from the water, fly at up to 100 feet in a straight line along the lake, then land.
The pilot this year will be Lieutenant Commander Chris Gotke, a serving Royal Navy pilot who holds the Air Force Cross.
