Cumbrian trains may be cancelled or delayed due to a shortage of train crew.
The disruption will occur tomorrow (Sunday, August 25) as Northern Rail says it will not be able to run some train services in the North West.
The train operator will not be able to provide alternative transport either, therefore it is advised not to travel on particular lines.

The Northern Assist Twitter page released the following routes yesterday (August 23).
• Wigan - Blackpool North
• Manchester Victoria - Clitheroe
• Wigan North Western - Stalybridge
• Southport - Manchester Victoria
• Blackburn - Manchester Victoria via Todmorden
• Manchester Victoria - Chester

It added: "Additionally the Cumbrian Coast line between Lancaster and Carlisle is expected to have a reduced service running.
"There may be further short notice cancellations on the day. We strongly advise to check ahead and re-check before travelling."
