A SCHOOL is 'incredibly proud' of the class of 2024's GCSE results.
Just like thousands across the country, pupils at Settlebeck School in Sedbergh received their GCSE results on Thursday.
Headteacher Sarah Campbell said she was 'incredibly proud' of the students and 'delighted' to celebrate their achievements.
She added "These results are a testament to their hard work and dedication combined with the commitment and support from their families and our amazing staff team. It has been a privilege to watch them grow and flourish, making the most of the wider opportunities at the school and contributing to the school community over their time at Settlebeck School.
"We wish all our pupils the very best for the future and their chosen career pathways. Pleasing results were achieved by many, including: Lewis Sedgwick who achieved nine grade 9s, one grade 8 and one Level Distinction and one grade B across his exams; Fiona Hoggarth who achieved four grade 9s, three grade 8, one grade 7 and two grade 6s; Luke Downes who achieved two grade 8s, two grade 7s, five grade 6s and one grade 5, Level 2 Merit one grade B.’
"Zach Darrington, Ryan Hillyer, Jasmine Sen, and Abbie Wilson must also be congratulated for the incredible amount of progress they have made since Year 7."
