Cumbria Police has identified the person who died in a crash on the M6 last week.
Police said no other vehicles were involved in the crash that killed Alexander Bonnar, 69, from Glasgow.
The incident happened on the northbound carriageway between junctions 37 and 38 at around 11am on August 15.
The section was closed off for some time to allow police to investigate and for the vehicle to be removed.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "Cumbria Police can confirm that a man who died following a road traffic collision on Thursday 15 August 2024 on the M6 Northbound between J37 - J38 has been named as Alexander Bonnar, aged 69, from Glasgow.
"There were no other vehicles involved in the collision."
