RESURFACING works on an M6 carriageway to carry on until October.
National Highways are improving the M6 between junction 35 (Carnforth) and 36 (Crooklands).
The work involves resurfacing the northbound carriageway and the hard shoulder, from Holme village to junction 36.
Teams are working overnight from Sunday to Friday between 8pm and 6am - extended to 7am on Saturday mornings.
The work, which began on August 5, is set to be completed on October 2.
A National Highways spokesperson said: "Most of our work will be done under night-time lane closures. On occasion we’ll also need to close slip roads at junction 36 overnight.
"The essential improvements will ensure drivers continue to have smooth and reliable journeys on this part of the road network.
"We’re keeping disruption to a minimum by working at night when traffic levels are lower.
"However our work will generate some noise, we'd like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause."
