A well-established chippy in South Lakes got an unexpected visit from one of the north's most famous comedians.
Jingling Lane Fish and Chips in Kirkby Lonsdale welcomed none other than 53-year-old Johnny Vegas, known for Benidorm, Ideal, Still Open All Hours and Shooting Stars.
Pictured in a black t-shirt, flat cap and glasses, Johnny was kind enough to agree to take a picture with two members of staff.

A spokesperson for Jingling Lane Fish and Chips said: "Our frier Scott said he was a top man - very friendly and funny - he had scampi and chips."
