A FARM shop has closed its door after opening just three months ago.
A Day's Walk Farm Shop opened on May 24 bringing fresh produce from the small farms, fells, villages, and valleys of the Lake District to South Lakeland.
The official announcement of the shop opening was made in November last year.
The shop was in Spinning Jennies on Finkle Street in Kendal and was owned by Colin and Emma Sneath.
Now the shop's sign has been removed and the windows painted white as the owners recently decided to close the shop.
A spokesperson for Spinning Jennies said: "We’d like to announce that Colin and Emma have taken the decision to close their Lake District Farmshop on Finkle Street in Kendal. We wish them well with their remaining shops and will continue to cheer them on in their continued quest to champion Cumbrian food producers.
"Spinning Jennies is committed to bringing great quality, Cumbrian-sourced food to Kendal.
"We’re pleased to say that although the farm shop will be closed during August we will reopen it in September.
"Joining Pow Plants, Fettle and Penn, the farm shop will have additional ranges, even more theatre and will be a shop window for some fantastic Cumbrian producers."

Spinning Jennies' bosses explained they have a 'busy' few months ahead.
This is part of the project converting the former Beales building into separate shop units, a food hall, retail stalls, and flats.
"As always we’ll aim to keep you updated through our social media channels," the spokesperson for Spinning Jennies added.
