Over 3,500 Scouts from across the world came together in the Lake District for Red Rose 2024.
The international camping event saw Scouts and Guides from over ten countries descend on the Westmorland Showground, near Kendal.
From the opening ceremony to the closing day, Scouts camped, worked, and forged friendships amid adventures, all part of the most daring Red Rose yet.
The finale was the closing ceremony attended by 3,500 Scouts from almost every corner of the UK and ten other countries.
The diversity of the gathering could be seen in the multitude of flags representing countries, from the UK and the Isle of Man to Norway, Ghana and Georgia.
Stella Lewis, 13, from 1st Hoghton Scout Group, said the whole experience has been awesome.
She said: "I've tried so many activities.
"I've never done Via Ferrata or crossing a massive gap via rope swing at Honister Slate Mine, but give it a go because if it's not at Red Rose, when?
"I enjoyed learning about traditional crafts, like dry stone walling in the Global Zone.
"I've loved every minute of Red Rose and all the new friends."
Commended by Chief Scout Bear Grylls, the event is a testament to the dedication of adult volunteers who make such gatherings possible.
He said that while many people know that Scouting is all about adventure, they often need to realise that adult volunteers get to do just as much as our young members do through their involvement.
This year holds special significance as West Lancashire Scouts celebrate over 50 years.
Their valuable Skills for Life in the young, reach more than 10,000 young people throughout Lancashire every week.
Adding to the festivities is a celebration of 70 years of their home campsite at Waddecar Scout Activity Centre, nestled in the heart of the Forest of Bowland.
The base hosted a range of activities supported by the Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team and the Army.
West Lancashire Scouts are also on the lookout for more volunteers to join them.
West Lancs Scouts have also announced their growth plan for a new activity centre at Waddecar.
