Nine Oaks Housing Trust in Windermere is seeking new trustees to support its work providing sheltered accommodation in the area and supporting a dedicated team of staff.

The Trust, on Phoenix Way, offers studio flats, one-bed apartments, and also a self-contained cottage, all set within landscaped gardens.

While encouraged to live independently, residents can opt for two home-cooked meals per day in a communal dining room.

Brian Whittaker, head of trustees, said: "We are interested to hear from local people, either with experience in business, charity or housing management or who are simply passionate about helping to make a tangible difference to the lives of our residents.

"Trustees attend monthly board meetings and are encouraged to actively engage in the charity’s activities and social events.

"With housing availability being such an important local issue, this is a great opportunity to get involved with an organisation providing this essential service."
