ONE Lucky Cumbrian has been made £50,000 richer after the release of the results for August's premium bond winners is revealed.

NS&I  announced their high value winners for August 2024. The value for this draw ranges from £1,000,000 to £1,000, and draws are conducted every month.

The winner of the counties top prize this month: £50,000 bought their bonds back in April 1997.

One other winner scooped £25,000 on bonds bought back in January 2021, with three other Cumbrians winning £10,000 each.

Last month one Cumbrian picked up the top prize, with a one million pound win in the July premium bonds draw.

The top prize winner joined eight other Cumbrians who had won one million pounds on the premium bonds since 1994.
