LOVEBIRDS say I do in an intimate wedding that 'felt like a dream'.

Lauren Bond, 28, a CT rotational radiographer and radiation protection supervisor married Samantha Bond, 29, a higher-level pharmacy support worker.

They first connected through an online site, where their conversations began to blossom.

Samantha said: "She lines up the world up in sync and stops it moving all at the same time.”

Lauren said: "We are completely inseparable it is embarrassing and obsessed beyond words it is sickening but it’s goofy and shows complete compatibility which brings such warmth to my soul."

They got married on June 20 at Cote How in Ambleside with 12 people including the couple.

Their wedding day began bright and early at 7am, setting the stage for a day filled with 'unforgettable moments'.

The couple explained that Lauren started the day with a wild swim in the 'near-freezing' river outside their holiday cottage. Soon after, they gathered with their family for morning tea and coffee, to 'enjoy the calm before the excitement'.

They said: "Samantha walked down the aisle to Take Forever by Cooper Alan, symbolizing her journey and strength as an independent woman. When it was my turn, I walked down the hill to the barn with my dad beside me, where Samantha, our friends, and family awaited. The moment we saw each other, we were both overcome with emotion. In the blink of an eye, we exchanged vows, eyes locked with love and admiration, and said 'I do.'

"Following the ceremony, we celebrated with confetti shots, some of our favourite photos from the day. Despite instructing guests to throw the confetti up, my nan, bless her heart, aimed it right at me, resulting in a mouthful of confetti and a cherished, funny memory.

"Walking through the woods in our wedding dresses felt magical, like a scene from a movie. After the photoshoot, we departed for our reception at the Black Labrador pub. There, we indulged in two New York cheesecakes, topped with a gorgeous cake topper featuring our dogs, who were there in spirit.

"The evening flew by with laughter, drinks, and delicious food. We ended the night back at our holiday cottage with an intimate first dance under the stars. My family had decorated the balcony by the river with fairy lights and decorations, creating a dreamy setting as we danced to "If You Love Her" by Forest Blakk.

"Even now, reminiscing about our special day feels like a dream. If asked if we would do it all over again, we would say no – because it was absolutely perfect the first time."

The lovebirds haven't planned their honeymoon yet but have 'big greams' of saving up for a trip to Canada. In the meantime, they are planning a return to Ambleside this Autumn or next Spring for a special trip with their two beloved dogs.

"This trip will include a fun and memorable family photo shoot in our wedding dresses, capturing the joy and spontaneity of our little family.

"We can’t wait to splash around in the lakes and create new memories in our wedding attire. After all, what better way to celebrate and repurpose our wedding dresses than by making more beautiful memories together?" they said.

The pair who lives in Derbyshire would like to thank Cote How, The Floralistas, their hair and makeup artist Lucy, Jenna Carpenter for the photos, The Black Labrador, The Cheesecake Guy, Alison Louise Bridal, Pure Brides and their friends and family.
