The route has been revealed for this year's Furness and District Tractor Run across the peninsula.

The event has grown to be a well-loved date on the local calendar, and has raised thousands of money for St Mary's Hospice in the process.

The organisers said: "Please note our summer run route changes every year to give our drivers a change of scenery - we apologise if we are not in your area this time, but look out for viewing areas closest to you.

"Come along and support a worthy cause, and see a fantastic range of tractors touring our beautiful Furness and District area."

The run will start at 10am at Dove Ford Farm in Grizebeck on September 1 and will cross through Broughton-in-Furness before taking a break at the Wilsons Arms in Torver.

From 2pm, the procession will visit Colton, Ulverston and Pennington before finishing at Cumbrian Cow Ice Cream at Edge Hill Farm at roughly 4.10pm.
