A CYCLIST in his 80s remains in hospital after being involved in a crash with a car.
Cumbria Police are investigating a road traffic collision involving the pedal cyclist and a Land Rover Discovery on Monday July 8 at approximately 9.30am on Rydal Road, Ambleside.
The cyclist received serious injuries and remains in hospital.
Police are interested in tracing a white Mercedes Vito van and a red hatchback that would have passed the cyclist just prior to the collision.
Officers would also like to trace and speak with two walkers who were passing as the incident occurred and the driver of a white VW transporter that was directly behind the cyclist and the motor vehicle involved.
