A survey has found that the Lake District is the attraction that Brits are most proud of.
Commissioned by leading peer-to-peer campervan rental company Camplify, it found that 40% of British residents have refrained from visiting more tourist destinations due to costs.
Additionally, 32% of the 2,000 adults cited long distances as a barrier to exploring more of the UK's notable sites.
Moreover, tourist destinations outside of London, such as the Lake District, the Giant’s Causeway, Loch Ness, the Jurassic Coast, and Hadrian’s Wall, are among the most desired places to visit.

But, of course, the Lake District prevailed.

- Stonehenge, Salisbury
- Tower of London, London
- Westminster Abbey, London
- Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh
- Peak District
- Hadrian’s Wall, Northumberland
- The Yorkshire Dales
- Loch Ness, Scottish Highlands
- Jurassic Coast
One in 10 stated that they would visit Ben Nevis in the Scottish Highlands, while Scafell Pike in Cumbria drew interest from just 5%.
