A much loved circus company is bringing their Lucky Pigeons show to Ulverston next month.
This summer, Brainfools, a renowned circus company, is touring with their production, Lucky Pigeons, reaching Ulverston on August 10.
Offering a thrilling, high-energy spectacle for all ages, the group promises a surreal exploration of urban society by featuring circus skills and aerialist tricks.
Lucky Pigeons follows the story of a young businesswoman trying to keep pace in the fast-moving city.
Her life takes a dramatic turn when she loses her job and turns her anger onto the constant presence on city streets - pigeons.
Her transformation into a colourful, curious pigeon gives the audience an engaging view into a playful, misunderstood world from a bird's eye view with a light-hearted energy.
Kick-started by Finn Burnett Pope and Toffy Paulweber, the company has now expanded into a collective of acrobats, dancers, puppeteers, musicians and artists.
Mr Paulweber commented on their latest venture: "Lucky pigeons is a fun, uplifting, contemporary circus fairytale with a unique combination of puppetry, circus and theatre.
"At Brainfools, we strive to produce work that has a meaningful story, that keeps to a friendly and accessible atmosphere whilst also creating a spectacle that can also be a catalyst for change.
"We want Lucky Pigeons to raise awareness about the dehumanising experiences faced by marginalised groups and the UK’s homeless population, and we're excited to again be touring environmentally friendly, and bring exciting contemporary circus to the different parts of the UK."
Highlighted as a deeply soulful performance, Lucky Pigeons is a response to the dehumanising experiences of marginalised groups in London, told through daring aerials and mesmerising acrobatic feats.
Tickets are currently available at https://www.thecoro.co.uk/whats-on/ for the show that will be held at The Coro Family Circus Day, County Square, Ulverston on August 10.
