TWO men have been arrested as part of an investigation into a series of burglaries that occurred in the Penrith area.
Officers received six reports of properties being broken into and items taken in Stainton and the surrounding areas overnight between Thursday, July 11 and Friday, July 12.
A 29-year-old and a 26-year-old were arrested today July, 15 in Blackpool on suspicion of burglary.
They both remain in police custody to await questioning.
A spokesman for Cumbria police said: "We would like to hear from you if you saw anything suspicious in the area or have any CCTV, doorbell camera or dashcam footage which may be relevant to this case.
"Anyone with information relating to these incidents can report online at cumbria.police.uk/report-it.
"Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
"If you see any suspicious activity, please contact police on 101. If you witness a crime in action, please dial 999."
Any reports will be investigated under Operation Themis – Cumbria Constabulary’s response to and focus on burglaries.
