A Kendal pub is set to host the Duke Fest 2024.
The Duke of Cumberland in Appleby Road will hold the festival on August 3, from noon to 9:30pm.
Lian Wilson, manager of Duke of Cumberland, said: "We are a locals-based pub because we are not in the town centre so the festival is something for local people to enjoy and also to bring in some new customers.
“It will be a great family event, which is free for everyone. It’s the first time we have held the festival but we hope to make it an annual event.”
Three live local music acts are scheduled for the day.
Kev Kendal will play upbeat pop/rock from 12:30pm to 2:30pm, followed by Talia Rae Brumbley from 4pm to 6pm who will sing pop covers, and Lancaster-based band Listen Twice will perform from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
Duke of Cumberland’s resident DJ Adam Edwards who runs Kendal Youth Zone will provide music in between the sets.
Mr Wilson said: "Kev has played here numerous times and the crowds always come back to see him.”
Speaking about Ms Rae Brumbley, he said: “She has played at The Duke before and got an amazing reception.”
Visitors will also be treated to a dog show from 2:30pm to 4pm, organised by Vets4Pets with categories like waggiest tail, best rescue story and best trick.
The festival will also feature an outside bar, a hog roast, children's games, and stalls from Jane's Treats and St John Hospice.
