A free family festival is set to take place across Kendal at the end of the month.
The Kendal Family Festival will be held on July 27 at various locations around the town from 10am to 5pm.
The festival is organised by the Kendal Business Improvement District (BID) and includes a variety of activities for children of all ages.
Peter Brendling, manager of Kendal BID, said: "We are really excited to be putting on this event, which we hope will engage the local community and bring people into the town.
“It will also give them the opportunity to realise the diverse range of activities they can take part in during the summer holidays.
“Increased footfall in the town on the day should benefit local businesses and we also believe the activities will appeal to tourists visiting the area.”
Festival goers can expect a 30-foot-high climbing wall on the grounds of Stramongate School, Segway riding, archery, football skills, soft play axe-throwing taster sessions, and a game of Wipe Out.
In the centre of Kendal, residents and visitors can enjoy a game of crazy golf in Elephant Yard or play giant versions of Jenga and Connect 4 in Finkle Street.
Additional activities are expected to be confirmed closer to the festival date.
Mr Brendling said: "There will be something for children of all ages.
“We held the Kendal Family Festival for the first time last year and it was very successful with, I would estimate, about 600 people taking part in activities.
“The feedback from local businesses last year was that the town was very busy and trade increased.
“The aim of these festivals is to boost local community engagement and increase business and footfall in the town.”
