Cumbria is gearing up for a weekend of top-class horse racing, a night of Britpop hits, and a huge dinosaur gathering.
Cartmel Racecourse's end of June fixtures promise to be especially memorable this year.
Cartmel racing director, Geraldine McKay, said: "It’s our biggest entertainment weekend of the year.
"We have superb racing plus a great night of music and the biggest number of dinosaurs ever seen in Cumbria.
"And the weather is looking like it will be dry."
On Friday, June 28, there will be afternoon racing followed by a night of Britpop.
Exciting the crowd with a DJ set will be Inspiral Carpets keyboard player and northern legend Clint Boon.
The Complete Stone Roses and Definitely Oasis will also be making an appearance.
Ms McKay said: "Come and re-live the good times, it is the best night in Cumbria.
"We have a great sound system and stage.
"It will be a good quality show and tickets are only £35."
Then on Sunday, June 30, racegoers can look forward to the Jurassic Jumps Family Fun Day.
Offering top-quality racing and the chance to get close and personal with more than 20 dinosaurs, it's set to be a thrilling day for all.
Cartmel’s highest prize money race day of the year, sponsored by Oakmere Homes, will provide two Class 2 races.
The child friendly dinosaurs will be taking to the course in the late morning for a race of their own.
Ms McKay said: "I think that race might be a bit slower than our equine superstars.
"After a cool down, the dinos will then go to their own special show area where there will be lots of fun and opportunity to interact with them.
“For anyone who loves dinosaurs, kids young and old, it’s going to be a wonderful spectacle.
“The horses will come out after the dinosaurs are safely in their own area.”
Alongside the dinosaur meet and greets at the Dinosaur Gazebo, they will also stage several theatrical shows that promise to be fun, interactive, and educational.
On June 28, the gates will open at 10am, with the first race starting at 1.55pm and the final race at 4.47pm.
One June 30, gates open at 9am with the first race starting at 2pm and the last race starting at 4.55pm.
