A Walter Taylor painting is among over 100 artworks set to feature in the annual Silverdale Art Group exhibition.
The showcase, hosting around 40 different artists, also includes several paintings donated by the family of Silverdale's late Mr Taylor, who passed away in 1990.
His vibrant 1974 piece, 'Emesgate Lane on a Wednesday' captures a bygone village, featuring a red telephone box and some shops which are now long gone.
A mill secretary, Mr Taylor retired to Silverdale from Rochdale in 1965 with his wife Elizabeth.
He served as chairman of the Silverdale Painting Society from its inception in 1971, and his depictions of local scenes became sought-after pieces.
One work 'Red Rake and The Cove' was sent to Queen Elizabeth II during her Silver Jubilee.
The painting was publicly exhibited at the Guildhall, displaying a limited selection of gifts the Queen had received, in December 1977.
The Silverdale Art Group exhibition, taking place at The Gaskell Hall on Emesgate Lane, is part of the Silverdale Arts Festival happening from June 28 to 30.
An Arts Festival Trail Map can be picked up from the hall, listing various festival locations all within the village, many of which offer refreshments.
Unframed works and cards will also be on sale.
