A resident in Kendal 'voluntarily surrendered' a large collection of weapons.
The South Lakes Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) shared on Monday, June 3 that they had taken control of the assortment of blades.
The weapons have now been 'safely removed from the streets' and are set to be disposed of in due course, said police.
A spokesperson from the NPT added: "These weapons were not part of any live incident. They were voluntarily surrendered by the former owner.
"We don't want weapons on our streets - don't let them fall into the wrong hands, contact us and we will get rid of them."
