MUMS are being invited to nominate NHS professionals for a healthcare award.

Local mums are invited to nominate a worker in the Breast Friend Award.

This is a special 'thank you' given each year by local charity South Cumbria Breastfeeding Support (SCBS).

The Breast Friend Award aims to acknowledge and celebrate good practice in breastfeeding support within the NHS in and around South Cumbria.

The award, founded in 2017, is made to an NHS Health Professional who has made a significant positive difference in the breastfeeding experience of families in South Cumbria.

Any NHS Health Professional working in South Cumbria, or who has worked with a family who lives in this area can be nominated. This could include, midwives, maternity assistants, health visitors, obstetricians, GPs, nurses, paediatricians or dieticians.

Nominations close on June 15, via an online form. For further information, and to make a nomination, go to https://cumbriabreastfeeding.org.uk/breastfriend/.
