Owner Jessica Looker said: "We love being apart of the Ulverston community. Although we are an outlying pub in one of the many beautiful villages surrounding Ulverston, we love seeing all the different festivals Ulverston has to offer.

"It truly is amazing being able to see how the community can pull together to support each of these events. Ulverston is an amazing little town full of kind people and it truly is a privilege to be apart of.

"With events like Fine Fest, lantern procession, Dickensian and many more, there is a wide variety of choice and something for everyone to be able to enjoy; including families.

"Being mentioned as a pub which ‘merits a visit’ is a huge honour and we are extremely thankful for the mention.

"As we are outlying Ulverston, we are unfortunately tucked out of the way for all festivities. However, we are sure to try and enjoy them when we can.

"We are very lucky to be surrounded by the amazing local community and the support we have received during our first year has been incredible."
