A KENDAL brewery are once again throwing open their doors for their annual charity beer festival to raise money for charity.
Gan Yam Brew Co, on Shap Road Industrial Estate, will be holding the event once again over the late May bank holiday weekend between Friday 24 - Sunday 26 May.
The company, which was founded by seven school friends, aim to raise as much money as possible for Blood Cancer UK and New Start – charities dear to their heart.
Over £1,000 was raised for the two charities last year, and organisers are hoping for more of the same this time round.
This year, there will be Summer Fete games aplenty, as well as a special gin bar and beers over 20 beers on offer from around the world.
There will also be beer from breweries around the UK, including Queer Brewing, Lost and Grounded, State of Kind, Marble and many more.
Each day will be individually ticketed with a £6 entry fee, all of which is being donated to charity.
You will also be able to redeem your first pint with a valid ticket, as a charity donation from the brewery.
Jonny Le Mare, Co-founder of Gan Yam Brewery Co, said: “We can’t wait for our second charity beer festival.
"It is the perfect way to celebrate and remember the lives of some friends of ours whilst also raising money for the great charities that supported them – New Start and Blood Cancer UK.
“The idea for this festival is to showcase some of the best beers from across the country and compare it to what the local breweries have to offer.
“In addition to the huge range of keg and cask, we’ll also have amazing food from Pizza8, village fete games, DJs and a dedicated gin and cocktail bar, which is new for this year.”
