Three upcoming shows in Cumbria are being conducted in the hope of keeping music available for locals.
An 'exciting and diverse' hour of musical entertainment will be coming to Kendal, Appleby and Orton on June 1 and 2.
They will be headlined by Mike Gerrard and Iona Brown, a treble-alto duo who are principal players from the Royal Northern Sinfonia (RNS).
Kicking off at the Appleby Hub at 7:30pm on Saturday, Castle Street Community Centre in Kendal (3.30pm) and Orton's Market Hall (7.30pm) will round off the weekend of entertainment on Sunday.

One of the organisers said: "We are trying to keep music available now that Westmorland Arts have folded, although funding is always an issue."
The hope is to even conduct an Orton Summer Proms series later this year, with details yet to be confirmed.
Tickets are available for just £8, with accompanied children going free.
