A warning has been issued to those visiting the Lake District this Bank Holiday weekend.
The warning has come from Westmorland and Furness Council after Civil Enforcement Officers have been out in force in Elterwater Village.
The local authority posted a photograph of a number of vehicles parked within the Elterwater Village restricted zone showing a very narrow gap that may block emergency vehicles.
Tickets given by traffic wardens are visible on the windscreen of each car.
A spokesperson for the council said: "If you are visiting the beautiful Lake District this weekend, we are asking everyone to please park responsibly and adhere to the restrictions that are in place - they are there for a reason.
"Emergency services, farmers, buses and residents still require access to these areas. If gaps are too small, as pictured, vehicles may struggle to navigate through.
"This is just one of the areas where our teams are out patrolling this Bank Holiday weekend.
"Please remember to be kind and park with others in mind."
