After a recent refurbishment, PizzaExpress Kendal is excited to re-open its doors to offer 'pizzazz'-filled service to its returning and new pizza lovers.

Situated just off the busy Kendal town centre high street, the pizzeria is comfortably located a five-minute walk from the Brewery Arts theatre and cinema.

It presents itself as an ideal location for a treat before or after a showing.

The Kendal branch is part of PizzaExpress's nationwide refurbishment programme.

On entrance, customers are greeted with an illustration of founder, Peter Boizot.

The revised interior provides an immersive dining experience that involves a flair of theatrical moments as pizzaiolos knead and toss pizza dough before the customers' eyes.

As the English weather warms up, customers can sit back and enjoy the brand's classic pizzas in its secluded outdoor dining area.

It is nestled in Wainwright’s Yard, where customers can also opt to explore local shops post-meal.

The al fresco dining area is also said to be the 'perfect destination' for refreshing cocktails, not limited to Raspberry Cosmo Spritz and Pimm’s Summer Cup.

General manager Frank Hamblett-Jones, who began his PizzaExpress Kendal career as an assistant manager in 2017, said: "I am so proud to lead the team at PizzaExpress Kendal.

"From our waiter Katie, who has been with us 18 years, to our back of house trainer and pizzaiolo Aneta, who has been with us 16 years and has helped open some of our international restaurants in Hong Kong and Singapore, the entire team can’t wait to show off our new look.

"With our recently introduced Spring menu of new and returning favourites, we can’t wait to welcome back our customers to enjoy their favourite pizzas."

With the newly launched spring menu, the customers will be charmed with a mix of new and returning all-time favourites, like Romana American Hottest and Soho ’65.

Those who eat vegan can sink their teeth into a veggie inferno with the Vegan Mezze.

There's also the brand's under 600 calorie Leggera pizzas served on a classic-sized ring of dough and filled with a fresh, dressed salad.

Customers can choose any classic or Romana topping on a Leggera base.

Aside from pizzas, the menu also includes popular salad options including the Bosco or Niçoise (tuna) which have been on the menu since 1985.

Children can savour the Piccolo menu that has dough balls, pizza, pasta or salad, dessert and a Bambinoccino, all for £7.95.

Customers that are part of the PizzaExpress Club can also take advantage of various offers and rewards such as free child’s meals and more.
