A MAN will be punished in the community after he assaulted a male and recklessly damaged his car.
Jamie Tomlinson, of Biskey Howe Road, Bowness, caused £1,000 worth of damage to the complainant’s Suzuki S-Cross on October 1 last year, a court heard.
The 26-year-old also assaulted the same victim in Bowness on the same day in question.
At South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on April 23, Tomlinson was sentenced to a two-year community order after pleading guilty to assault by beating and criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
As part of the order, he is required to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and 120 days of alcohol abstinence monitoring.
Magistrates also ordered that he pay £150 in compensation to the complainant.
He was also required to pay £85 in court costs and a £114 surcharge.
