FIRE crew members have stoked the flames of love on their wedding day - and received a guard of honour from two fire crews.
Natalie Jayne White, now Park, a 28-year-old community safety advisor at Cumbria Fire and Rescue tied the knot to George Stuart Park, a 26-year-old welder at BAE Systems and an On-Call Firefighter for Cumbria Fire and Rescue.
The couple from Barrow had known each other growing up from going to Walney school and their paths met again at Walney Fire Station when they were supporting a community event.
"I was drawn to George's cheeky smile and personality. George said that I had a nice smile and was intrigued by my tattoos," said Natalie.
Their engagement took place on Natalie's birthday in 2022 when they were at home.
Natalie said: "It was a lovely memory to have at home as I felt it was more personal it just being the two of us, and at the time it was my first home."
The pair got married on March 28 at The Nan Tait on Abbey Road with 46 guests including family and friends.
As they made their way to the ceremony, they were met by two fire crews waiting to do a guard of honour.
"This was an overwhelming moment I will never forget," she said.
"I have worked in the fire service for 10 and a half years now and wanted our fire family to be able to make it and thankfully they were able to. The crews were still on duty, luckily they didn't get a call out."
"The ceremony was small and intimate, however, it felt like there was a lot of love in the room."
After the ceremony and pictures at Barrow Fire Station, they went to Barrow Golf Club to join their guests to celebrate their day.
"We had the speeches from George, my dad, George's best man Aaron and I also did a speech.
"Following this we had some great food and the afternoon flowed well into the night do. Once the night time guests had arrived Steven managed to gather everyone outside for a group photo with the sparklers.
"Walking through everyone for the photo was such a lovely feeling, knowing that everyone was there for us. After this we had our first dance - dancing is not mine and Georges's strong point. Not long after the Saxophonist Spencer Sax arrived and then everyone was on the dancefloor.
"The whole day was amazing and me and George would not have changed one thing. Everyone who came along to celebrate seemed to have a great time - we could not have asked for a better day."
The couple have no honeymoon planned at the moment, however, they are hoping to go to Crete where their rescue dog Alice came from.
Mr and Mrs Park would like to thank their photographer Steven Hillman, their parents, Barrow Golf Club, Spencer Sax, Barrow Fire Station - White Watch and Ulverston Blue Light Hub - Amber Watch for going to The Nan Tait for a guard of honour and Mr Mister in Barrow.
