AN animal rescue centre is 'puzzled' why a dog who has spent 700 days in their care has not found a new home yet.
Connie has spent nearly two years at Eden Animal Rescue, which is near Newbiggin, a village between Penrith and Appleby.
She was recently taken on a trip to Pooley Bridge by the animal rescuers. On the trip she displayed her 'good behaviour despite being a bit nervous at times.'
A spokesperson from the animal rescue centre said: "It's puzzling to us why she hasn't been adopted yet, considering what a delightful girl she is.
"If you're able to provide Connie with a loving home, please visit our website for more information."
