BOSSES of a venue, touted to have the longest champagne bar in the Lake District, have announced its official opening date.
Errol’s of Bowness, which is also cocktail bar and kitchen, promises to offer a huge champagne selection, premium cocktails and sharing-style small plates in a converted bank.
The site, which sits below luxury aparthotel The Rockefeller on Bank Terrace, was transformed with a six-figure investment into an elegant cocktail bar and kitchen.
The bar boasts velvet booths, a marble bar top, bistro windows and a champagne vending machine - the only one of its kind in the Lake District.
The building has been restored, paying with special attention paid to the bank's features such as the original vault door.
The bar also has what is believed to be the biggest chandelier in a real bank vault.
It will house a private dining and drinking area to give guests an intimate experience for special occasions.
Guests can sit at the longest cocktail and champagne bar in the Lake District and watch mixologists at work with a drink in hand and a selection of small plates.
The bar is both child-friendly and dog-friendly and seats 55 guests operating as a table-service only venue.
The Vault has a capacity of 12 and can be privately booked for special occasions.
The bar was due to open in March however after a few 'hurdles' it will now open Saturday, April 27.
