A food bank in Kendal has faced its 'busiest' ever months and is still in need of your help.
King's Food Bank, which can be found at the Shakespeare Centre on Highgate, dealt with 569 referrals in the first three months of 2024.
This resulted in 16,700 meals being provided to local residents in need as the impacts of the Cost of Living Crisis continue to cause problems.
A spokesperson from the food bank said: "[We are] grateful to everyone who has supported us over this time, every donation is so important and enables us to continue helping many in our local community.
"If you are able to help us restock our shelves, that would be much appreciated, thank you."
At the time of writing, the food bank was in need of these items: tins of meat, meat in sauce, pasta sauce (jars or small pots), microwave rice, tins of pasta, tins of rice pudding, tins of fruit, and tins of custard.
