FIFTEEN people including children - and dogs - were at risk of being cut off by an incoming tide.
Bay Search and Rescue received the call and headed out for Silverdale Shore Car Park during the bank holiday weekend.
A spokesperson from Bay Search and Rescue said on arrival Arnside and South Lakes Coastguard Rescue Team 'had witnessed several people wade waist deep through the gully which separates the car park from the shore.'
The rescue team had spoken to 'several people who had had a near miss with the incoming tide.'
The spokesperson said: "All in all a very busy weekend and not possible without the support from all our shoppers, staff and volunteers in our shops, thank you all."
