MICHELIN star chef Simon Rogan's Academy is now accepting applications from prospective front-of-house student apprentices.

Academy by Simon Rogan is inviting applications from prospective students for its September intake of Front of House and Chef apprentices.

Created three years ago in collaboration with Kendal College, the Academy by Simon Rogan has been specifically designed to take students on an exciting journey, discovering the world of hospitality through immersive hands-on learning.

Successful applicants for both front of house and chef apprenticeships will during their studies gain practical experience working five-monthly rotations across Simon’s Lake District restaurants.

This means that during their in-depth training, the student apprentices will have direct access to some of the most experienced members of the Simon Rogan team who will be on hand to help develop their skills and knowledge in other areas of the business.

In addition, they will also have the opportunity to work on special events and spend time with the growing team at Our Farm, Simon Rogan’s working farm close to Cartmel, where all manner of produce is cultivated and nurtured for use in his Lake District restaurants L’Enclume, Rogan & Co, Henrock at Linthwaite House, Aulis Cartmel and Aulis London.

All of the student’s training is underpinned with structured learning provided by designated tutors based at Kendal College’s Culinary School, which allows students to work towards fully accredited qualifications.

The course runs for 15 months, culminating in a fully expensed week-long stagiaire at one of our Michelin-starred operations abroad - with all flights and hotel accommodation paid for.

The course start date is starting this year on September 23.

Those wishing to apply please send a copy of your CV and a covering note highlighting your interest in a career in hospitality and joining our Academy.
