Dublin folk singer Daoirí Farrell is set to entertain audiences in Kendal.
Having emerged from Dublin's famous club An Góilin Traditional Singers, Mr Farrell launched his successful live solo career in 2016 at Celtic Connections.
Mr Farrell, who released his fourth album last year, has bagged multiple honours such as BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and ALSR Celtic Music accolades.
His debut album, 'The First Turn', broke cover in 2009, and his 2016 ‘True Born Irishman' album marked his breakthrough in the industry.
After 2019’s ‘A Lifetime of Happiness' - an album that racked up three nominations in the RTE Radio 1 Folk Awards and lauded by FATEA as a 'quintessential Irish folk album' - his fourth album, 'The Wedding Above In Glencree' was released in late February 2023.
The album landed a spot on the RTÉ Radio 2 playlist in Ireland and peaked at number 11 on the Official UK Folk Albums Chart.
Mr Farrell, the 2013 All Ireland Champion Singer, is a regular performer on the global festival circuit, including in Canada, Australia, and Europe.
He is set to play at Brewery Arts, 122A Highgate, Kendal, on Friday, April 12.
Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets are priced at £18.50.
Tickets can be booked by calling the box office on 01539 725133.
