A NUMBER of easter egg hunts are set to take place across Cumbria over the bank holiday weekend and half term holidays.

National Trust houses, gardens, and woodlands across the county and beyond will welcome visitors as they set out to follow the trails and collect a chocolate reward.

In a statement on their website, the National Trust said: "Join us for Easter trails at many of the places in our care.

"Before you set off, you'll receive a trail sheet to guide you on your adventure and Easter bunny ears to wear along the way.

Don't forget that you can choose from either a chocolate egg or a vegan and Free From chocolate egg."
