A wild swimming spot in the region has been crowned the UK's best natural swimming spot on social media.
Lake District's Tongue Pot, according Parkdean Resorts, has amassed a total of 1.3 million views on TikTok, making it the most popular in the country.
The resort released the top 10 list after a surge in interest for outdoor swimming saw 12,000 people searching for ‘outdoor swimming’ in the last month alone as weather conditions improved.
Tongue Pot, it said, presents a dog-friendly site with clear water for diving and several surrounding pools.
Those who plan to visit are recommended to park by the old telephone box at7 the bottom of Hardknott Pass.
Another spot in the region that's listed as the country's best swimming spot is Wasdale Fairy Pool, coming in third with 810,000 views.
Known as the emerald pool, this spot features a turquoise clearing of water, embraced by two waterfalls and concealed in the Wasdale area of the Lake District.
It can be located by tracking a path towards the Pyramid-shaped mountains.
The fourth favoured site is Coniston Coppermines Waterfall, with 794,000 views.
This hidden Lake District oasis is family-friendly with multiple pools available for swimming on route to the main waterfall.
The other swimming spots in the country in Parkdean Resorts's top 10 list are Blue Pool Bay and Swgd Einion Gam in Wales, Glencoe Waterfall and Gairloch Beach in Scotland, Ashworth Valley Waterfall in Rochdale, Three Shires Head in Peak District, and Sharrah Pool in Devon.
Safety is key when outdoor swimming.
Cold water, slippery rocks, sudden changes in water depth, and treacherous undercurrents can pose threats to swimmers.
The resort advised swimmers against diving, recommends testing water temperature before entering, setting clear boundaries, and to never run on slippery rocks.
