A MAN has been disqualified from driving and ordered to pay a fine after being caught driving while twice the legal alcohol limit.
Matthew Davidson, of Owlet Ash Fields in Milnthorpe, gave a lowest reading of 71 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The limit is 35.
The 43-year-old was stopped by police when driving his Citroën C1 Feel on High Cragg Close in Kendal.
He was disqualified for 17 months and instructed to pay a £450 fine.
He was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and an £180 surcharge.
