A PROUD dog owner is celebrating after scooping two first places at the world's greatest dog competition.
Jill Fearnhead, from Kendal, achieved two first places and one second place at this year's Crufts in the Airedale Terrier Classes.
The international dog show is organised and hosted by The Kennel Club and is the largest show of its kind in the world.
The owner, known for the prefix of Settleback Airedales, gained first place in the Veteran Bitch with Singrett Just An Illusion at Settlebeck (Macey) and first place in the Post Graduate Bitch with Settlebeck Queen of Hearts (Hettie).
Settlebeck Royal Flush (Floyd) took second place in the Post Graduate Dog.
Mrs Fearnhead said: "I’m very proud of my results and was over the moon on the day.
"These are our first wins at Crufts but we have had numerous wins at championship shows. We have now qualified for Crufts 2025.
"Hettie and Floyd are still only 22 months old."
More than 19,000 of pooches and their owners headed to the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) Birmingham for Crufts 2024, which took place between March 7 and 10.
The show featured a wide range of dog competitions, displaying their dogs' skills and abilities to adoring crowds.
